( Honours Meeting 4: )The chorus from a song on one of my favourite albums at the moment ran through my head:
"But if nothing's gonna change,
To me these brighter days feel grey.
And if I don't re-arrange,
These days are gonna be the same."
Short, but poinient, don't you think?
( Read more... )Let's try to end this on a positive note, shall we? I got myself a new text editor that actually works, and hopefully in a few moments when I upload this to LJ we'll see if it solves the line break problem mentioned previously. The editor is
NoteTab Pro, thanks to Veli-Pekka from Finland for recommending it. It has tabbed multiple document support which I have now come to rely on, as well as auto-backup and a LaTeX-style outline feature. And it works with Supernova which is of course a great bonus. I also finally got myself all of
Krezip's albums, "Plug it in" (2007) and "What are you waiting for" (2005) are awesome.
Finally, I arranged for the
Bose On-Ear Headphones to be collected later this week for return. The 30 day trial expires soon, and I must decide whether or not to keep them given their rather hefty price tag. Don't get me wrong, the headphones are fantastic, with superb sound quality (I noticed whole new parts to some tracks I did not hear with the Sennheiser) and the passive noise cancelling works great (I tried wearing the phones in the street and on the bus and it muted the background noise right down) but I have to justify such an expensive piece of kit against my bank balance. One point for keeping them would be their effectiveness at muting background noise whilst shooting, the effectiveness of which was quite decisively put to the test last week. We'll see what happens, I guess.
All for now, back to Java for me.
