A bit of a long post here but I've rather a boatload of things to cover. And no, that's not a reference to the flooding that's crippled what seems like half the cotton-pickin' country, which we're fortunate enough to have escaped by rather more than a mile.If that all sounds a bit too idium'atic for you blame Tori. We were chatting on AIM the other day and the topic came round to differences in sayings between the US and UK and well the upshot of that is that my mind is full of the damn things so...
Anyway, I'll nip the medical issue right in the bud by saying the last two days have been absolutely great, touch wood. If it weren't for the fact I'm still not sleeping I'd say that I was a whole new person medically. I must say the short lapse in any toe pain has been more than welcome, yes sir'ee!
Saturday was spent browsing forums, doing some diagnostic testing of mum's line (more later), listening to the Cascada album which is absolutely fantastic and worth a shot and doing a bit of tidying up.
Thanks to
This Page it turns out there is a way to improve the performance of the ADSL signal on BT telephone lines.
( Here's how )Another thing that got me all of a flutter was my noticing some, albeit not much, action on the Mobile Outlet front. They took an admin charge of from my account, and T-Mobile debited and credited as well. I'm hoping this means T-Mobile have done their credit check and my phone might be on the way to me soon. BTW there was a postal strike here yesterday, or at least we didn't receive any mail which is odd if there wasn't.
Another sleepless night took me into Sunday. I've realised that one of the disadvantages of living in a fairly quiet area as I do is that you've actually got to respect people's right to a lie-in on a Sunday. I can't very well go out at 8am and get mowing the lawn, or at least not if I'd like to have any scrap of respect left (most of which was already lost due to the state of the lawn in the first place). And now it's looking as though it might rain, and despite being a little mild inside it's rather chilly out. I might just go and cut the rubarb, hey at least I can make something of the day.
OK I'm tickled if I can find anything else to say so I won't. Ciao.
