18th-Jun-2007 11:39 am - And the results are...
I've never really considered myself to be a nervous person by nature, but for some reason the thought os seeing this session's exam results just gave me the jitters. Maybe it's because that now I'm in 3rd year (well moving onto 4th) they become that much more important.

Apparently the results have been out for a few days, but I always thought the release date was three weeks after the end of the exam diet, so i was holding off on checking. But now I have and the results are in.

Oh, you mean you want me to actually tell you how I did? Oh well, let it not be said that I wasn't an obliging person.

I PASSED THEM ALL!

Right, so they weren't fantastic results, and once again the coursework aspect of the courses let me down. I always seem to do better under exam conditions anyway, theory rather than practice. But the one thing that did make me really happy was the CAS 16 I got in software Engineering. After getting one of the top marks in the class for the January exam, the fact that my mark still held up after the group project assessment is something, that I anyway, feel is quite note-worthy. And the course was interesting, enjoyable and certainly useful particularly as I'd been considering going into consulting later along the line.

This means that I can apply for the only exam that I actually have to re-sit, that being the pesky Artificial Intelligence. I'm not looking forward to that, but I'll give it my best shot. I believe that it is definitely true what they say about interest and motivation being important to success - and as both of them were definitely missing for AI, well, the current result speaks for itself.

OK, I'm off now, have to wait a bit before I move on and later there's no doubt a pile of things that still need to be done, although thankfully the backlog from February is now considerably shorter than it was two weeks ago. Now if only those worms that keep wriggling around in my stomach would settle down, things would be ideal.
