18th-Jun-2008 09:10 pm - It pays to search
These days two things in life are true. Everything from food to fuel is becoming more expensive, and the ability to find things quickly and easily is becoming more important. In compliment, it's always great to be able to earn a little more money, even better when there's not much work needed to get it, and search, particularly online is now more functional and the results more accurate than ever.

Why not mix the two together and have the best of both worlds?

I've recently joined a system which pays between 2p and 5p for each online search conducted. Basically, your searches are routed through the payment provider, who earns revenue from showing some small adverts from sponsors (this takes the form of a small table above the search results, they do NOT appear as any annoying popups or other interruption). You receive a portion of this revenue. No special software is needed; all that happens is your default Internet Explorer search provider is changed to use the payment providers. To search, you can just type into the existing search box, or hit CTRL+E and press enter. The Yahoo! search engine is used to provide the results, and so far I've found it's actually better than Google, at least for those non-corporate searches. It's particularly good at showing results from blogs, forums and non-commercial sites.

Now for the important bit. Use this link to join. You'll be prompted to register. Do this - no payment information is needed from you at this stage. Then just install the search provider, and you're good to go right away. No additional software is installed on your computer, there is no adware, spyware, popups, interceptors, annoying system tray icons, e-mail signups, cookie trackers (the search bar sends your searches through the payment provider, and that's how they know you've legitimately searched) or anything else that's dodgy these days. For transparency I will be honest and say I do get something out of this as well - 10% of your earnings. This is an additional payment made to me by the payment provider, and is not taken from your earnings. Further, I do not receive any info on your searches. There is no minimum monthly target or inactive account suspension. To start earning, no address information is required either. Take it from someone who's very weary of scams, and who's turned down lots of possibly legit cash-generating opportunities to date - this is completely clean. Otherwise, why would I tarnish my reputation telling you about it?

It's amazing how quickly the searches mount up. I'd say I've gotten through at least 150 in the last week, just through everyday activities that require me to find information from the net. So stop delaying people and get earning now!
