The exams are now over so now I just have to play the waiting game until the results are released in three weeks' time. They weren't too painful, but there was at least one part on two of the four papers I couldn't do. The Natural Language Processing one in particular was quite hard and the lecturer certainly wasn't kidding when he said time would be at a premium - I think 3 hours of that is quite enough for one lifetime!
Anyway, officially I have a week off until I start again with courses next Thursday, but I'll have to go into Uni before then for meetings and advisory lectures for the Honours' Project. I'm actually quite looking forward to both, particularly the Professional Topics in Computing as it's based more on current social issues than actual practical work.
I've made up my mind about the other stuff I posted a week ago and have decided just to let things play out and take it as it goes. There's no logic to worrying about what might or might not happen.
I've finally decided to get round to answering the letters from Pitney Bowes, who are still hounding me for payment despite their cock-up with the franking machine last May. I've already written to them once stating my dissatisfaction but they haven't responded and instead sent another invoice through with another late payment charge. I'll write again tomorrow and hope they will actually read my letter this time. You'd think they would if they want their money that badly. I'm also drafting a Letter Before Action threatening court action against The Mobile Outlet for a breech of contract regarding the cashback for my T-Mobile phone package. They should have sent the initial payment by 22 December but have clearly defaulted on this. I am fairly certain of a win here judging by the results of the hundreds of people before me who've had a similar problem with this company, although it will probably have to go before a judge in order for TMO to take it seriously. There were murmurs that I may have to attend in person if it gets that far but hopefully this won't be necessary, as the case is exactly the same as all the others. Finally, I'll be settling the balance with PC World (Now DSG Retail) for 60 GBP for the 8GB USB pen I bought last year and also re-issuing a cheque to the rifle club for my annual membership, due to the previous treasurer having failed to cash my first one.
I got back in contact with a few people from the Mauisun forum I last chatted with 2 years ago, and also with some guys from NCW I last spoke with in 2002. That was interesting and brought back some fond (and some not so fond) memories. Geez, just writing that seems strange but it certainly made for quite a lot of stuff to talk about.
OK, I'm tired after a late night celebrating the end of exams yesterday, so I'll call it quits here. Have a great weekend everyone and take care. - Tags:cashback, cell phone, crush, debts, exams, girls, mobile phone, pitney bows, rifle shooting, themobileoutlet, uni
